Smelly Welly watches a shelf of about seventy well-loved fragrances, from Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel to Aventus, Baccarat Rouge 540 and Santal 33, on eBay, Craigslist and OfferUp near you, and ShopGoodwill nationwide. Whoever has this page open keeps it fresh: their browser runs the search, with Cloudflare fetching the pages; a refresh of eBay's newest bottles runs at most once an hour, and a full sweep of every fragrance on the shelf at most twice a day. Each listing is matched to its exact fragrance and strength (a flanker like Sauvage Elixir or Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusif is a different fragrance), its bottle size is read in ml or fl oz, and a used bottle counts only the juice that's left, by the fill level the seller states. Dupes, clones, "inspired by" oils, lots, empties, lotions and damaged bottles are left out. Prices are compared per ml: the market value is the cheaper end of what other sellers ask for the same fragrance, new or used, scaled to the bottle's size, and before there are enough listings, a typical street price from retail. A price far under retail is the most reliable sign of a fake, so those listings go to Smells fishy instead, and never count toward market prices; ships-from-abroad and thin-feedback sellers make the bar stricter for the most-faked fragrances. Each bottle is graded Great, Good or Weak on the juice (the fragrance's community standing and the bottle's state), proof (photos, a video, the batch code or a receipt), the seller, buyer protection and price; tap the grades to see why. The buy score (0–100) weighs all of those plus the selling site; Best match sorts by it and the Top note is the highest within your filters. A deal is at least 25% under the market per ml, from a good seller with good protection. Totals are what checkout charges: the seller's default shipping quoted to your zip, plus estimated sales tax for your state on eBay and ShopGoodwill. Auction prices are the current bid.
